News and a Special RequestIn addition to the National Day of Leafleting, filling dozens of requests for information every day, and updating the Vegan Starter Pack (the print version of which is now in production), Vegan Outreach has been increasingly busy! As of August 7, for the year, Vegan Outreach has sent over 350,000 copies of Why Vegan and Vegetarian Living to activists in the U.S. and around the world – an average of over 1,500 a day! We're currently down to 10,000 copies of Vegetarian Living, and under 8,000 copies of Why Vegan – less than one week's worth at the current distribution rate! Because of this shortage, we haven't been able to fill large orders from dedicated activists, and will soon have no booklets available at all. During the course of the year, we have been as generous as possible with sending copies of Why Vegan and Vegetarian Living to those in a position to distribute them, regardless of their ability to donate. Now, we need your generosity to be able to continue to speak for the animals and spread the veg message! After paying outstanding bills for shipping, postage, and other expenses, as well as printing the new version of the Vegan Starter Pack, Vegan Outreach will have less than $10,000 with which to print Why Vegan and Vegetarian Living. These small print runs will have significantly higher per-piece costs, and will give us only about two months to raise funds before we will need to do the next printing. We believe that increasing the number of vegetarians and vegans is a powerful way to make the world a better place, and Why Vegan and Vegetarian Living are very effective tools to accomplish this. If you agree, please make a special donation to help us continue distributing copies! You can be sure that your support will lead to more people reading Why Vegan and Vegetarian Living! You can donate online, or send a check to: Vegan Outreach Thank you for your dedication!
