School Leafleting Campaigns Updated…
Adopt a College
There have now been 45 colleges leafleted resulting in 13,246 brochures distributed. Theoretically, this leads to 346 new vegetarians and 13,853 birds and mammals prevented a life of misery per year! This is a great start, but we still have 2,463 more colleges to leaflet! It would take less than one fifth of the people who get Vegan Spam to leaflet a college in order for us to cover every single one listed on our site. We would like to give a huge thanks to our top three college adopters since we started the program 2 months ago: Josh Balk of Compassion Over Killing organized leafleting at 7 colleges in the DC area, handing out 2,900+ brochures. Joe Espinosa of Vegan Outreach has organized leafleting at 6 colleges in the Chicago area, handing out a total of 2,600+ brochures. Gabe Quash of Freedom For Animals has organized leafleting at 4 colleges in the San Francisco Bay Area handing out 2,900+ brochures.
National Day of Leafleting SchoolsOn October 14, Vegan Outreach, Viva!USA, and Animal Rights International held the 4th semiannual Leaflet Your Local School Day. We still haven’t heard from about half the people who signed up, so if you haven’t let us know how your event went, please email us!
