Work Smarter, Not Harder. Feature: Veg Restaurant Event in CA
Distribution UpdateThe members of Vegan Outreach have requested over 500,000 copies of Why Vegan and Try Vegetarian (previously Vegetarian Living) already in 2003. Various estimates (1, 2) would indicate that distributing these booklets will save millions and millions of animals from the cruelties of factory farms and industrial slaughterhouses! With our Adopt a College Program, more and more people will be exposed to the truth about modern agriculture. If you are leafleting in your area, or want to participate, please contact Jack, America's favorite columnist. Thanks to everyone who has made this possible!
Upcoming EventsMatt Ball and Anne Green will be speaking at The Che Cafe in San Diego, Sunday, December 28, from 4-6 pm. They will also be speaking in Phoenix, AZ, on January 3. More details will be announced in future editions of Vegan Spam.

Support Viva and Vegan Outreach by Eating Great Vegan Food! For many of you in the area who don't yet know, there is a new vegetarian restaurant in downtown Woodland: NV Vegetarian Restaurant. The food is typical of many Buddhist vegetarian restaurants and reasonably priced. We have eaten there once and enjoyed it very much. We want to make sure we support this only vegetarian restaurant. On Tuesday, December 2, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, NV will split 20% of all sales between Viva! and Vegan Outreach. This is a great way to enjoy some excellent food and donate to local animal rights groups! Because they want to be prepared for whatever crowd may show up, please RSVP to us beforehand if you know you will be attending. We hope to see everyone there! NV Vegetarian Restaurant Sincerely, Jack Norris lauren Ornelas
