Matt Ball Talk / EarthSave Chicago's Potluck Plus on Sunday, June 27th
Would you like to be a more effective advocate for animals? Or, are you simply interested in moving closer towards a vegan diet? Come to EarthSave Chicago's June potluck and hear Vegan Outreach cofounder Matt Ball -- along with Anne & Ellen Green, Joe Espinosa, Jon Camp, Nick Altmann, Danielle Marino, and others -- talk about reducing suffering in the world, why we should promote vegetarianism, humor, and much more! The event will be this Sunday, 6:30-9, at Healing Earth Resources (3111 N. Ashland) in Chicago.
Joe Espinosa, Jon Camp, Anne Green, Jack Norris, Matt Ball, and others (Danielle Marino, Miyun Park, Paul Shapiro, Josh Balk, Nathan Runkle, etc.) will be at AR2004 (Jack Norris will be speaking). On Saturday, July 10, we will have special meetings for anyone who wants to get together; the first is at 8:45 AM, the second at 9:30 PM. Meet us at the Vegan Outreach table.
Of course, you can stop by the table at any point. We look forward to seeing you there!
Get Money for Your Local Group (or VO) by Leafleting for CVA
The Christian Vegetarian Association (CVA) is now donating to local animal protection groups $18/hr to leaflet at Christian events. The CVA will provide literature and, for those who want them, t-shirts. Leafleters do not need to be Christian. A brief report to the CVA of how things went is required. Some groups will likely choose to use all the money for local activities, and others will keep part of the money and use the rest paying activists for their time. Up to one hour may be charged for going to and from the event. Since most events involve leafleting for 50-60 minutes, up to 2 hours per person may be charged. Please let your local groups know of this opportunity for a "win-win" arrangement for animals. The list of events is now online.
If you want to do an event, please contact Rev. Linda McDaniel.
