The Long and Winding Road
3,030,558 ... and Counting
Thanks to everyone who sent
in their good wishes regarding Vegan Outreach's
three
million milestone.
Given the number of dedicated
activists and the expanding Adopt
a College program, Vegan Outreach
could easily distribute over a
million booklets each year. Demand
continues to grow, and with concerts,
festivals, summer sessions at colleges
and universities (in addition to "normal"
distribution in restaurants, libraries,
etc.), this summer has been busy! With
college leafleters ordering booklets for
the upcoming term, Vegan Outreach is rapidly
depleting our latest printings of Why
Vegan? and Try Vegetarian!
Do you think that getting
more copies of Why Vegan? and
Try Vegetarian! to more people
is important? We can't do it without
you!
Vegan Outreach is entirely
dependent on donations from our members
to be able to print and ship booklets
to activists. If you want to see this
distribution continue and grow, please
donate
what you can (you can set
up automatic
donations here, on the second
page).
A $40 donation can help
us print hundreds of booklets; a $10/month
recurring
donation can support an entire
afternoon of leafleting! Regardless of
what you can donate, you know that your
support of Vegan Outreach will lead directly
to more booklets reaching new people.
Simply put: Your donation = more leaflets
= more vegetarians = less suffering!
With your
help, we can reach the four
million mark by next year! Thanks!
"I've been leafleting
at community events for years and started
leafleting at the U of MN this past year.
I love it! I was handed a leaflet at school
and that started me thinking about veganism,
nine years ago. By the way, the person
who handed me that leaflet has no way
of knowing that I went vegan and have
since dedicated my life to animal rights.
Remember this when you are leafleting;
we have no idea what kind of impact we
have!"

Get Back
After a month of traveling
(pictures at right), we're back at the
Vegan Outreach office, and working hard
to get caught up. Starter Packs should
go out early next week. If we haven't
responded to you regarding an email,
call, or letter you sent recently,
please contact us again.
Thanks!
Downtime Coming
-Jack Norris, RD
The server that hosts VeganHealth.org
(which also contains the Adopt a College
pages) and JackNorrisRD.com will be moving
soon, so these sites will be off-line
for an unknown period of time.
"A Whole New Life!"
Several vegans formerly
plagued with flatulence point out a new
wonder product.

Justice for Animals Fund Supports Body
TVs
"Feedback from activists
using the new PETA body-screen TVs (at
right) has been very encouraging. The
Justice for Animals Fund is offering $1000
to grassroots groups interested in purchasing
one of the units (which cost $2500). For
more information, please contact
the JFA." Picture courtesy of
