News from Vegan OutreachImportant: Please Plan Today! After printing, shipping is our greatest expense. It is least expensive to send boxes of 300 copies of Why Vegan? or Try Vegetarian! right from the printer, via UPS. For smaller orders, it is least expensive to send book rate. However, this takes time. So please plan ahead for events, leafleting, tables, etc. Adopt a College will soon be in full swing, and the first part of fall term is always the best leafleting opportunity (in terms of weather and student interest). World Vegetarian Day and other national events will be here sooner than you expect. Please – take time today to look over your calendar for the rest of 2004, and order what you will need. Thanks!
Record Distribution RateEarlier this month, Vegan Outreach passed 400,000 copies of Why Vegan?, Try Vegetarian!, and Por Que Vegano? for the year 2004. With AAC growing every week, the distribution rate will continue to increase, and we will soon need to print more booklets. (We also have some exciting new projects in the works.) If you would like more people to receive a copy of Why Vegan?, please donate today. Simply put, your donations create more vegetarians. Every little bit helps -- thanks!
Want to House an Activist? Thanks to everyone who has signed up to be a local contact. If you would like to host an activist overnight who might be leafleting in your area, please email us with your contact information. We will keep your information on-file, in case someone is traveling in your area in the future.
