Today, another person told me that they were vegan because of a booklet I had given them.
    I can honestly say with no exaggeration that certainly in my opinion Vegan Outreach is the best and most effective organization for good on this planet. I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of it. I find it very difficult to leave a campus and when I finally do I feel that I have to tighten my seatbelt just to keep me from floating to the car ceiling.

Matt Ball, co-founder of Vegan Outreach and author of "A Meaningful Life" and "How Vegan" will be speaking at the Grant Rd. (at Campbell) Bookmans in Tucson, on Monday, January 2, from 5:30 - 7:00. There will be an extensive Q & A, and vegan snacks.

Carrie Barton offers snack advice: "Primal Strips are the best -- super tasty and available in on the go sizes...the larger size is resealable but I haven't had the need for it yet! I love the mesquite-lime flavor myself. Tasty Eats Soy Jerky is vegan too -- I like the Ginger flavor."

Recipe of the Month

Many Vegan Outreach members will be making seitan over the holidays, especially when entertaining non-vegetarians. With the right seasoning and vegan gravy, mashed potatoes, bread, and veggies, it is a feast enjoyable by everyone!
