Team Vegan Coming Soon!
Vegan Outreach’s annual Team Vegan campaign, which starts May 1, brings together dozens of animal advocates who set individual goals and raise important funds for VO – which are then matched dollar-for-dollar to double their impact for animals!
Many Team Vegan members are starting to think about how they want to participate this year. Here are a few unique ideas from some past years’ participants:
Terry Hagio raised over $500 with two goals: running the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon and attempting her first-ever triathlon at the Transamerica Chicago Triathlon.
Joe Espinosa, who volunteers his time every week to spread compassion through leafleting, raised over $1,000 with the goal of leafleting for 14 hours straight – one hour longer than he ever had before.
Lauren Farnsworth (upper) and Yvonne LeGrice (lower) pledged to match any donations to their fundraising pages, thus quadrupling what their friends were able to give to the animals!
Cathy Berlot raised $600 with a very sweet appeal from her beloved cat Aslan. She told people why Vegan Outreach is important to her. She made it fun and personal, and her friends and family stepped up to support her!
The possibilities for your Team Vegan campaign are limitless. Start brainstorming now for how to raise important funds for VO starting in May! And in the meantime, please email LisaR@VeganOutreach.org to start setting up your page.

Written to VO’s Senior Outreach & Strategy Coordinator, Vic Sjodin:
Once again, I would like to express my gratitude. I was deeply touched by your presentation and Q&A [at Cypress College]. I am excited to start my new diet and journey in life. I am done crying and will focus that energy to spread veganism. I want to be an example to my family and friends. I am excited to continue learning about veganism and to spread that knowledge.…
I read the three leaflets you provided from cover to cover. Shed a few tears for the pictures of Kevin and Emily. I am excited to go to Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, Fresh n Easy, and Whole Foods. The Guide to Cruelty-Free Eating is a tremendous help!
