One Week Left: You Decide Who We Reach!
||Kyle is one of the many students who decided to go vegan after receiving a VO booklet this semester!
Every semester, hundreds of activists come ready to pound the pavement to hand out VO’s booklets about cruelty-free eating. They are passionate, dedicated, and ready to hand booklets to as many people as possible. Who decides what is possible? You do.
Your donations to Vegan Outreach determine how many people are reached. The more money donated, the more booklets we can print and the more people will be on their way to cruelty-free living. This spring semester, more than 500 leafleters have handed out over a million booklets about cruelty-free eating. With your help, we can reach even more people in the fall.
Please donate what you can by June 30 and your donation will be doubled. Visit TeamVegan.org to donate securely right now.
VO and International News
We’d like to publicly congratulate Vic Sjodin on becoming Vegan Outreach’s first Director of International Outreach!
Vic has been instrumental in expanding our outreach to new countries, and we look forward to reaching even more in the future – please donate to Team Vegan to help make this a reality!
Speaking of international outreach, this past week, in their article Is the Rise in Meat-Eating in Developing Countries Just a Temporary Trend?, Faunalytics reports that while meat-eating is increasing in many developing countries, the major part of the growth in meat demand has already taken place. They say, “The research finds that, though it is true that there is a growing meat-consuming middle class in many countries, the ‘next shift’ beyond this is a ‘behavioural change towards consuming higher-quality fats, more whole grains, fruit and vegetables, and particularly less meat.’”
As we know, these shifts don’t just happen automatically – they happen because people on the ground are working hard to promote plant-based diets, and we look forward to Vic getting VO active in more countries!
