they can bribe their way to a spot in our eN by sending
us samples is absolutely right ... as long as their
products are as good as
Tofurky Jurky! Perfect texture

it is truly a vegetable patty. Unlike any
other "burger" my family has had -- all
three of us like them! Delish!

B Wolf: I absolutely love Hodgson
Mills' ground flax seed. It can be added to virtually
anything, it has 2600 milligrams of omega 3's per
serving, it is gluten-free, and may also be used as
an egg substitute. One tablespoon of ground flax plus
three tablespoons of H2O equals one egg.

fatty acids, and is labeled as vegan.

snack in single-serving, ~100 calorie packs. 'Soy

better with dip or hummus.

to eat the whole thing in one sitting!!
May 16, 2007

"Grassroots." Their formulas "do not
contain animal ingredients, artificial colors or fragrances
and they are not tested on animals."
March 21, 2007
Joe Espinosa: My suggestion for product of the week
is Chilli Man brand vegetarian chili. Flavorful enough
that I use a can of chili with an equal amount of
my own cooked beans (chick peas, black beans, kidney
beans, or pintos) for a hearty meal that allows me
to brave the tough Chicago winter. I am able to find
it among the other canned chili at Jewel (grocery
story chain in Illinois).

Anonymous: Good Karma's Organic Rice Cream Single

of their profits to ending world hunger. Well, they
just ended my hunger!
February 7, 2007
Beth Cox: I’d like to nominate Terra
Nostra’s Ricemilk Choco Bar. Once I became

and the taste is amazing.
K Welsh: If anyone in the Bay Area hasn't tasted
Maggie
Mudd's Freestyle ice creams, you're missing
out!
January 31, 2007
Marty Foster: My favorite soap is Kirk's
Original Coco Castile. It's cheaper than most vegan
soaps (about $1 for a 4 oz. bar) and is available
at many grocery stores (for a list, check out kirksnatural.com).
It lathers really well in hard water, lasts a long
time and has no discernable fragrance. This product
carries the leaping bunny symbol, which confirms no
animal testing.
January 24, 2007
Marisa Miller: I want to let any other hazelnut lovers
out there know about the chocolate hazelnut flavor
of Whole
Soy & Co frozen
yogurt. In Europe, hazelnuts are as popular as
peanuts are here. Finally, fans of "Haselnuss
Eis" and "nocciola gelato" can now
get their fix!
Also, The Washington Post finds the Real
Faux Burger.
January 17, 2007

very good on a salad or for dipping buffalo-style
veggie chik'n strips.
January 3, 2007
Jean B of WA: Amy's
Tofu Scramble Pocket Sandwich, heated for 1.5
min. in microwave, then topped with lots of Barlean's
Flax Oil and Red Star powdered nutritional yeast.
I top everything with flax oil and yeast
-- popcorn, broccoli & other veggies, potatoes,
bread, soy meats, etc. It's easy, fast, and super
delicious. I never seem to tire of the flavor!
December 20, 2006

Paul Shapiro claims that these
Meal Starters, especially the Steak
Style, are the best mock meat product
available at regular natural foods chains (and some
grocery stores, such as Giant Eagle). Business

co-founder Matt Ball will be serving his non-vegan
extended family these
drumsticks and other
products from VegieWorld for Christmas
dinner.
December 6, 2006
Michael Hayward: "I'd like to nominate Bulk
Barn. They stock a huge selection of
bulk vegan foods such as rices, dried beans, pastas,
whole grains, TVP, nuts, seeds, hemp, flax, trail
mixes, etc., at very reasonable prices. I don't know
if the founder is a veg, but he certainly makes life
easier for Canadian veg*ns."
November 29, 2006
Jessica Hudgins: "I'd like to submit a company
of the week: Food
For Life. Everything from their breads,
bagels, English muffins, wraps and cereals are simply
delicious and amazing. All certified organic, I'm
pretty sure it's all vegan; most are all sprouted
grain and gluten free."
Lauren Porsch: "I've found a product that I
think Jack Norris would approve: B-Fresh
chewing gum. It's a xylitol-based gum (xylitol
is a plant-based substance that has been proven to
prevent tooth decay and promote oral health) that
contains 100% of the RDI of vitamin B-12. The packaging
clearly states 'vegan.' You can get it in the oral
care section at Whole Foods."
November 22, 2006
Sean: "Winter is coming, and EcoLips Bee Free
Lemon-Lime is one of the many reasons I enjoy the
season. My lips crack easily, and this lip balm stick
melts to your lips and has a fantastic lemon-lime
flavor, and it works really well."
November 15, 2006
Joe Espinosa: "I am writing
to nominate Red
Star Nutritional Yeast for product of the week.
I was introduced to this product and was instantly
addicted. On pizza bread, beans, soups, salads and
even popcorn, it adds a burst of flavor that redefines
what it means to be vegan." Anne Green blends
1C walnuts, 1/2C ground flax seeds, and 1C of nutritional
yeast (which she gets in bulk from the local co-op)
in a food processor to make high-Omega-3
"sprinkles" for pizza, popcorn, pasta, and
other "p" foodstuffs.
Kristen S: "Stonewall Jerquee is dangerously
addictive. Savory and full of protein, it is difficult
to find in bulk in most areas -- but you can avoid
the excessively packaged 1.5 oz bags by buying it
in bulk at www.veganessentials.com."
November 8, 2006
HQ: VegieWorld
is a great source of frozen vegetarian meats, even
though their website is somewhat confusing. The foods
we've ordered shipped quickly and arrived still frozen.
The drumsticks
were too spooky for one of us, and would be great
for any gathering of meat-eaters. A friend reports
that the shrimp is also incredible.
November 1, 2006
A. Leamen: "Living Harvest Hemp
Protein in chocolate chili: It's organic,
vegan, and soy & gluten free. It tastes great
mixed with vanilla rice milk."

Gentleman Jack Norris is back with a plug for wheat-free
cookies: "Allergic to wheat? Sunflour
Baking Company, long supporters of vegan
causes, is now carrying a wide variety of high protein,
wheat-free cookies and bars. Check 'em out! (Free
shipping with $15 order.)"
In a nomination seconded by the VO Headquarters,
Sheila from Michigan offers: "I would have to
say Soy Delicious' Purely Decadent
Peanut Butter Zig Zag. If I didn't know
better, I'd swear it wasn't vegan!"
October 11, 2006
Professor Laura Dilley: "My nomination is for
Celestial Seasonings' Tea Dreams frozen dessert with
Rice Dream in Imperial White Peach flavor. It is entirely
vegan but tastes like cheesecake and is unbelievably
delicious."
For best sandwich, Caryn in Texas: "I nominate
Boca's Original Burger served on a sprouted grain
bun (Ezekiel Bread by Food For Life) with melted vegan
soy cheese, sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach
and avocado. Yum! It's an easy, quick week night meal
my family enjoys, especially the kids!"
Gentleman Jack has this advice:
Looking for a fast, yet delicious meal on the go?
-Can of vegetable soup
-Macaroni or other pasta noodles as desired (already
cooked)
-Canned beans of choice (about 1/4 Cup)
-Olive oil, if desired, to taste (especially for fat-free
soups)
Don Pomodoro vegetable soups are available at the
Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op and are amazing, but
the above "recipe" can be used with any
vegetable soup.
October 4, 2006
Christy LaRose enthuses: "Sweet
and Sara, Mexican Chocolate Marshmallows!
I tried them at AR2006 and they are incredible! The
perfect sweet, chocolaty snack after dinner."
Beth Brettell nominates Fantastic
Foods World Soups: "While they are
all delicious, my favorite, hands down, is the Vegetarian
Chicken Noodle. It tastes just like how my Mom would
make her chicken soup when I was a kid. And its vegan
and super yummy! I brought some of their soups when
I went camping this summer and even my meat-eater
friends liked them."
September 27, 2006
Susan K writes: "I just discovered the best vegan
chocolate ice cream ever made by a company called
Temptations.
They also had Cookie Dough that my friend had and
said it was equally as yummy."
And for around the kitchen, Tawnya R endorses "the
'Magic Bullet'
blender. I use my Bullet for fruit or soy based, stevia
sweetened, frozen desserts. I prefreeze ice cubes
of Silk Soy Beverage in a variety of flavors and place
them in a freezer Zip bag. When I want a treat I fill
the small canister with cubes and add Stevia and just
enough fluid Silk to cover."
September 20, 2006
Wendy in Wonderful Tucson says: "Good Karma Rice
Cream is the best 'ice cream' we have ever had. Very
creamy. Great flavors such as Carrot Cake. We purchased
it at Trader Joe's."
September 13, 2006
Brian Patrick's vote is for "plain old peaches.
If you haven't had any in a while, this year's crop
has been outstanding. Each one is so juicy I have
to be careful about eating them at work for fear of
staining my tie. Just the right amount of sweetness
as well. I've had ones from New Jersey, Georgia, South
Carolina, and bought straight from the orchard a few
miles outside of Washington, DC. Each one has its
own character but never disappointing."
September 6, 2006
Diane in Canada: "I've just discovered Tofutti
sour cream substitute, absolutely delicious!"
August 30, 2006
Rob McFarland: "I have gotten hooked on the new
Mocha Almond flavor of Soy
Delicious. It is the best thing I think I have
ever had, even better than the real thing! It is mocha
ice cream with a fudge swirl and almonds. So good,
in fact, that it is making me fat again. I need to
stop eating it for a while, but don't worry Soy Delicious,
I'll be back for more. Also try the Raspberry A La
Mode -- raspberry swirl in vanilla ice cream with
brownie pieces. Sooo good!"
August 23, 2006
Both Arnold Freeman and lauren Ornelas point out Amy's
Rice Crust Spinach Pizza. Arnold: "It has
vegan cheese and is delicious. I tried it at the Natural
Products Expo a few months ago and it is finally on
the market. I asked my local Whole Foods to order
me some and they said they will have them for me tomorrow.
I can't wait. BTW, for those who care, the pizza is
also gluten free."
lauren adds that Amy's "Ziti
Bowl (rice pasta, tomato sauce, & veggie bowl,
also with Follow Your Heart's vegan cheese) should
be out on the west coast now and making its way east!
It is gluten-free"
August 16, 2006
Matt Ball jumps to the front of the line of products
to plug Vegan
Sweets Chocolate Spread. "Pass this

whip cream! Yummy!"
July 28, 2006

the Trader Joe's 'Meatless Meatballs' and also their
'Roasted Garlic Marinara' for your product of the

and a nice salad you have a lovely, healthy, and scrumptious
dinner."
July 12, 2006
Jessica Dadds: "I'd like to nominate Down
to Earth's Vegan Mix fertilizer -- 'An all purpose
fertilizer made with no animal products or animal
by-products.' I was very excited to come across this
fertilizer, since many contain animal products."
July 5, 2006
Danielle Marino: "McCain's came out with 'Smilies,'
a French fry outside and mashed potato inside in the
shape of a smiley face. With no trans fats and only
vegan ingredients, these are sure to put a smile on
your face. You should be able to find these in about
any mainstream grocery store - I purchase mine at
Dominick's."
Bonus link: Almost
Vegan.
June 14, 2006
Alisha Hammer: "I would like to nominate Follow
Your Heart Vegenaise. I have bought the
Original and Grapeseed Oil versions and both are awesome.
I used to miss eating garden tomato sandwiches with
mayonnaise. Not any more! Vegenaise is great slathered
on a burger, or used in place of mayo in your old
pasta and potato salad recipes. It's a great staple
for your summer vegan barbeques!"
Bonus link: Vegan
Ice Cream.
June 7, 2006
Holly: "I'd like to nominate Wildwood yogurt
as product of the week. It's the only yogurt on the

Plus, it has all the same live culture benefits of
traditional yogurt."
Bonus link: The
Vegan Pantry.
May 23, 2006
Jana Wilson: "I nominate Tree
Huggin Treats! They are organic and vegan
and super fantastic!"
Susan Kline: "Boca original and spicy Chik'n
Patties are now vegan. They are wonderful
panfried and placed on a bun with Veganaise, lettuce
and tomato. They can also be sliced and added to a
stir fry. I'm so glad they changed the recipe! Be
sure to read the ingredients right now because some
of the older boxes might still be on the shelves and
contain egg whites."
May 17, 2006
Sat Garcia: "I would like to recommend the noodles
and sauce meal kits by Simply
Asia as the product of the week. They
are a quick and tasty meal at a very affordable price.
Not all of them are vegan, but a majority are, and
the ingredients list on the box clearly states whether
they are or not. Personally, I enjoy the Chili Garlic
the most."
Joe Lauro: "When I went vegan over 20 years
ago, being an Italian, I missed my Mother's specialty
-- meatballs. Not anymore! If you haven't tried
Nate's
Meatless Meatballs, you're in for a treat."
May 3, 2006
Laurette Timms writes to nominate: "Lightlife's
Smart BBQ. It's vegan and delicious.
My non-vegetarian BBQ-eating friends love it, and
are switching to it because it's convenient and healthier
than meat BBQ. Just microwave it in it's package and
put some on a roll - there's plenty for 2. You can
buy it at Wal-Mart Supercenter or Kroger near the
tofu for about $3.
April 26, 2006
From Wyoming, Paula Wilson-Caziér: "I'd like
to submit the Ener-G
Egg-Replacer as vegan product of the week. For
people like me who love to bake, it enables us to
easily and quickly adapt any recipe to vegan. The
entire Ener-G website
is a great place to shop - they list all the ingredients
of the products and have popup windows for nutritional
information panels, recipes, and an Ener-G products
retail store finder, as well."
Aly Thewes nominates "Amy's Bean and Rice burrito.
It's 100% vegan, and it's also 100% delicious. I didn't
have too much faith in a frozen burrito tasting too
good, but I was wrong." (Note: the Breakfast
and Black Bean Vegetable burritos are vegan, too.)
April 19, 2006
Lauren Porsch offers: "I'd like to nominate a
new vegan product from Morningstar Farms -- the chick'n
and steak style Meal
Starters."

bars! I tried these for the first time
recently. I was skeptical because bars usually leave
a lot to be desired. Not this time -- vegan and delicious!"
April 5, 2006
Kandiss Powell: "I am just writing to let you
know about a company that is really doing right by
veganism. It is hands-down the best vegan ice cream
in the world, and it's an all vegan-run company that
uses local ingredients and is eco-friendly. They are
called Chicago Soydairy and the ice cream is called
Temptation. You can read about their philosophy and
company here: welovesoy.com."
March 29, 2006
Mallory McMahon relates: "I used to eat cookie
dough right out of the tube. Upon becoming vegan,
however, I lost this indulgence, and if I wanted cookie
dough as a treat I was forced to mix up a batch from
scratch in order to enjoy it! And then I discovered
Moo-Cluck brand vegan chocolate chip cookie dough!
It can be purchased at Pangea
or the Moo-Cluck
website. Of course none of my cookie dough made
it into the oven… it was either eaten straight from
the tube or mixed in with vanilla soy ice cream!"
March 22, 2006
Maya Davis: "I think Luna
bars should be the product of the week.
They feature many organic ingredients and are vegan.
These delicious bars are specifically designed for
women."
March 8, 2006
From Susan Eakins of Missoula, Montana: "I nominate
the Safeway Food Markets 'Select' line of house brand
products, which include dishwashing detergents, all-purpose
cleaners and detergents. They are low-cost, and not
tested on animals! Safeway stores are located throughout
most of the USA, under various names such as: Randall's,
Dominick's, Thom Thumb, Genardi's. PETA acknowledged
Safeway in their Proggy awards."
March 1, 2006
During March, you can get a free
Johnny Rocket's Streamliner (buy

Friedrich says, "This is the best restaurant
veggie burger around -- so bring a meat-eater and
treat them to this burger. It’s fantastic."
February 22, 2006
Tammy wonders "If it's okay to promote
a product from a megacorp like Safeway, I'd like
to nominate the O
Organic Black Bean Enchilada -- an organic
and vegan version with nutritional yeast!"
February 15, 2006
Carrie Hill nominates: "Tofurky's
sausages -- yes, they are vegan and awesome!!
My favorite is the sun dried tomato. They are great
in a stir fry with broccoli, onions, mushrooms and
peppers, or over spaghetti noodles! They are also
low carb and a great source of protein."
February 8, 2006
Matt R. passes along: "Made from those who bring
you Veggie Booty - Tings
- vegan crunchy 'cheese' doodles taste just like the
real thing! Also - Westsoy's Soy
Shakes are amazing! Put it in a blender
with some Soy Delicious' Chunky Mint Madness, and
you're in for a real thick treat. Best thing ever
on my tastebuds."
January 25, 2005
What exactly is a Proggy?
Peta's 2005 Progress Awards -- products and processes
that help animals.
January 11, 2006
Jose Iglesias nominates Aubrey
Organic products. "I personally
use their shaving cream, shampoo and deodorant. They
are vegan, not tested on animals, and made with natural
ingredients, some organic."
January 5, 2006
Lynn Halpern nominates "the treats made by the
Vegan Baking Company, particularly the
Chocolate Peppermint Cream, the Peanut Butter Cup,
the Pecan Joy and the S'mores. Each has a different
yummy center enrobed in a thick layer of chocolate.
They've been flying off the shelves since we began
carrying them in our (all-vegan) gourmet market last
month. Of further note, the company's website and
promotional literature prominently displays the byline,
'Save the Animals.'"
December 14, 2005 -- Product of the Year
It is often noticed, but rarely discussed, that flatulence
can be a significant problem for some people who eat
a more whole-foods diet. Solgar's
Vegetarian Digestive Aid is a true blessing
for those folks -- especially new vegetarians and
those who like Gimme Lean and/or veggie
chili! You can find them at health-food stores
and on-line (e.g., House
of Nutrition). Warning -- don't buy any past or
near their expiration date.
December 7, 2005
Carrie Barton offers snack advice: "Primal
Strips are the best -- super tasty and
available in on the go sizes...the larger size is
resealable but I haven't had the need for it yet!
I love the mesquite-lime flavor myself. Tasty Eats
Soy Jerky is vegan too -- I like the Ginger
flavor."

Virgil Butler recommends this website (mentioned below
for their peanut butter cups):
"Although we have tried many of
the fake meats in grocery stores, their price was
just high enough that we often considered some of
them a luxury item. Luckily we were introduced to
the Not! 'meats' from Dixiediner.com.
These are dehydrated non-GMO soy meat alternatives
that are so easy to store. You can buy them in all
flavors -- 'beef' (crumbles, chunks, and strips),
'chicken' (chunks and strips), 'ham,' and even 'tuna.'
Since we live in a rural area with few vegan options,
this was a godsend to us.
"You just mix the 'meat' with an
equal amount of water and boil until the water is
absorbed to rehydrate, or simply toss a handful in
to any kind of soup you are cooking. They would be
great either for single people or large groups, and
especially for campers.
"We have fooled quite a few meat-eaters with
them because the taste and texture are so close to
the real thing. Although they are fine to be used
as is, we have found that adding a little bit of vegan
bouillon and even sometimes some liquid smoke can
make them taste even better, like in gravies or when
using barbeque sauce. And at an average of only 72
cents per pound, they are certainly a good value for
those vegans on a limited budget -- much cheaper than
real meat! We have gotten several meat-eaters to order
some after tasting them."
November 16, 2005
MacKenzie Barrett writes: "If you miss peanut
butter cups, try the 'Beanit Butter Cup Mix' from
Dixie Diners'
Club. It comes as a mix, and makes 25
small size peanut butter cups that taste just like
the ones I used to buy before becoming vegan!"
And if looking for a holiday treat for
a new vegan or budding activist, keep Meat
Market in mind. VegNews
said: "Erik Marcus' Meat Market radically
redefines what it means to be an effective animal
advocate in the 21st century."
November 9, 2005
Joyce Tenerowicz writes: "Morningstar
Farms has bags of unbreaded mock chicken strips.
I made them into 'chicken' and dumplings, and they
were excellent (I think they are best if you brown
them in a frying pan before adding it to a soup to
keep the texture). They also have mock beef strips
in the same type of packaging. Both of the new mock
meat strips are vegan and are marked as such on the
bag." The Morningstar site also has recipes.
November 2, 2005
Jack Norris writes: "Blood sugar low? These will
wake you up -- rice krispie treats made with the marshmallows
from Pangea, the only vegan marshmallow on the market
at this time. They even have a recipe on the bag,
are easy to make, and delicious!"
Rachel Haugley offers: "My suggestion is aimed
at all the moms (and dads): 'Tofutti Kids' are wonderful
-- it's an ice-cream dessert with either strawberry,
lime or orange coating (reminiscent of 'dilly bar'
coating). These are awesome! Kudos to Tofutti for
staying on top of their game!"
October 19, 2005
The irrepressible Joseph Espinosa writes:
"Morningstar Farms is dead on with their Tuno,
delivering all of the flavor and none of the suffering
and death that comes standard in cans of Tuna. I have
missed that taste for 12 years. I am happy to be reunited."
October 13, 2005
Michelle Gmaz writes: "The maker of the hair
care line Jonathan Product is proud enough to put
100% vegan on the very front of the product. So of
course, I had to try it. It is being sold through
QVC
and Sephora.
It is so popular that it is sold out almost everywhere,
but I managed to get the shampoo, conditioner and
leave-in glossing creme. This stuff is great, like
high-end salon products."
September 28, 2005
Janet Good writes: "I just discovered Celestial
Seasonings Tea Dreams, a new line of dairy-free 'ice
cream.' And I thought Freezees was good! Well, it
is.....but this new item rocks. Flavors include Vanilla
Ginger Spice Chai, Chocolate Caramel Chai and Cinnamon
Apple Spice. I will never be the same."
September 7, 2005
Christopher Scott writes: "I was given an 8 oz.
tub of Tofutti
brand Better Than Cream Cheese - plain. I think it
must have been a mistake because it is so good! It
has a slight nutty flavor like Wheat Thins - I had
a hard time not eating the whole thing at one shot!
The only reason I didn't is that one ounce has 80
calories so I only ate half the container at a time."
August 31, 2005
Michele S. Christensen writes: "Gardener's Hand
Cream from Trader Joe's works really well as a moisturizer,
and really helps the skin look younger. I swear it
works as well or better as some very expensive non-vegan
products I used to use. I can feel the effects a full
day after applying it, and I wash my hands at least
10 times a day just at work. Also, it has the all-important
sunscreen and it is cheap (about $4 for a large tube).
It states right on the label 'Not tested on animals,
No animal by-products.'"
Also -- help
encourage Trader Joe's to go cage-free!
August 17, 2005
Carol Hutson writes: "Wow! Tofutti
Blueberry Wave milk-free Cuties tastes like blueberry
cheesecake ice cream. This is the best animal-free
ice cream I have tried. My husband and I kept saying
'yum' the whole time."

Both Joe Espinosa and Gil Schwartz recently wrote
to rave about Boca, which has recently reintroduced
their Chik'n
patties and nuggets without the eggs
and milk products they previously had.
June 29, 2005
Alyson Powers of Iowa City writes: "Soy
Delicious has a special "Truly Decadent"
line of soy ice cream that is fantastic! My favorite
flavors are Mocha Almond Fudge, Turtle Tracks and
Peanut Butter Zig-Zag. Mmmmmm... Great for hot summer
days!"
June 15, 2005
Dallas Rising writes: "Heart Thrive Nutritious
Meals To Go are so awesome. They taste great, and
supply a lot of fiber, calcium, and protein. To me
they're sort of a cross between an energy bar and
a healthy cookie. They come in lots of flavors (raisin,
apricot, apple, etc.) and are perfect for eating after
a workout. For more info, visit www.suncakes.com"
Note: In a previous
week, Greenies were mentioned as a dog treat.
According to the manufacturer: "the ingredients
used for the natural flavoring are proprietary but
we can tell you that there is a very small amount
of non-beef based animal protein used." Our apologies.
June 8, 2005
Angela Lassiter writes: "I'd like to nominate
Follow
Your Heart's Vegan Gourmet 'Mozzarella-Style' Cheese
Alternative. IT MELTS, and it takes so
much like the real thing, I can't believe it's vegan!"
June 1, 2005
Hyla writes: "Wildwood
makes the very very best soy products! Soy yogurt,
their plain, is really fabulous. NO SUGAR! This makes
it so much better. And their soy milk - chocolate,
is so excellent. We like it even better than Silk,
which we are quite familiar with as well."
Amie Hamlin offers: "Tofurky
Sausages - they're huge, they're delicious,
they blur the line between real meat and fake. I don't
like fake meats, but these are truly good. Saute the
Sweet Italian Sausage flavor (contains sun dried tomatoes
and basil) and then add to spaghetti sauce; saute
the Beer Brats (made with microbrewed beer) with onions
and peppers, and eat on bread. Do the same with the
Kielbasas. If anyone thinks they're not getting enough
protein on a veg diet, these pack 29 grams each!"
And for some of the non-human readers out there,
Veronica says: "My vegan dogs loooove Greenies
and Greenies P-Nutz. Great for their
teeth, too!"

In honor of Jon Camp's recent birthday, this week's
product is Chocolate
Silk. Lucy Kelly writes: "More and
more stores are selling Silk is Soy chocolate soymilk.
It has a good helping of essential vitamins and is
a good addition to smoothies."
Although his 40,000+ booklets handed out this semester
for Adopt
A College is almost double the entire program's
Fall 2003 total, Jon could have handed out 80,000,
if he didn't spend half his time fantasizing about
Chocolate Silk!
Editor's note: Silk Enhanced has Omega-3s, Vitamin
D, and B12.

Joe
Espinosa writes: "I spied Gardenburger's BBQ
Chik'n next to their BBQ
Riblets at the Jewel grocery store in
Crete, IL (not the most sophisticated store in the
world). My whole life I thought that I did not like
BBQ. When someone would use BBQ sauce I would have
to leave the room because I did not like the smell.
However, I was pushed into trying the Gardenburger
Riblet and discovered that my fear of the sauce was
unfounded. I love the BBQ Chik'n even more -- so much
so that I had to go back and buy it again the very
next day."
Editor's note: Gardenburger's Buffalo
Chik'n Wings are easily the spiciest
mass-market "fake meat" product I've ever
had.

of Tsang's works on everything from a stir-fry
